This blog is currently about the collision between work and life. I hope one day to cover more broad topics which is why I gave it such an open title. For now, at least while i’m writing my current book, this is the focus but it’s not the only focus of the blog.
A side subject of the blog is to try and chronicle unique elements of the whole process. My thought process is to share whats involved and what i’m discovering with those who are interested in their own writing. There is a correlation in that this writing effort aligns nicely with the ‘side business’ concept I explore quite regularly as it’s something so many professionals attempt at some point or other. The reason why I find this post from digital book world so interesting is that although it’s about eBook marketing, it’s really about understanding that social media is continually in flex.
The takeaway for you that I want to share is that keeping up with the changes in social media is important in what ever your endeavor is. Maybe you are on a board for an awesome non-profit, maybe you want to sell insurance via a too good to be true side business. It doesn’t matter if your an artist, a business person, an educator, whatever. If you want to get the word out, especially to niche audiences then we have to build a tribe. To build that tribe we need social media, and that means everyone needs to keep their eye on the changes in social media.
For the record I get that i’m blogging about a blog that talks about facebook, and let me just say one thing about that. You all look very nice in your robes.
